The global hydration market, encompassing water, energy, electrolyte and isotonic drinks has been rapidly growing worldwide over the past 10 years. With a global CAGR average of 4.9%, with the only exception 2020.

Over the next five years the market is expected to grow at a global average of 7.2%. We believe that there is a requirement for stores and venues to offer a wider range of products to a growing consumer base.

OUR HYDRATION

EDUCATION COMMITMENT

THE HYDRATION TIME BOMB

The National Health Service is clear on its research into the importance of effective and safe hydration. Long-term poor hydration can lead to chronic headaches, fatigue and weakness. Poor hydration when taking on physical activity can result in permanent impact on the brain.

 

While only really advised for high-intensity cardiovascular training, energy drinks can give a well-needed boost taken within the hour before exercise. If consumed in that time period then the exercise they then take part in will burn the sugars in the drink and the energy will be effective.

 

Meanwhile, isotonic sports drinks are effective in quickly replacing key electrolytes and fluid lost through sweat when we exercise. The added carbohydrate can help us achieve a longer term energy boost, this is important for endurance events, matches or long-training sessions.

 

All medical bodies agree that for every-day use and hydration requirements the regular consumption of water is the most vital choice we can take. Pure mineral water with very few additives is the best way to achieve this level of required, regular, hydration.

THE GRILLA COMMITMENT

Our range of products are designed to provide hydration where required alongside quality products, used sensibly, to replace the higher sugar energy drinks that many people lean to, often at the wrong time of their day.

 

GRILLA commit to provide the education to our consumers to ensure that they are using our products at the right times. Our energy drink is a close match for all other top level products on the market and yet we recommend that it only be consumed alongside high-intensity exercise.

 

We provide the isotonic drinks to give our customers a hydration product for performance during endurance events. Our isotonic provides hydration during long-workouts, extended gaming sessions or across the day when having to stay at a high level of activity.

 

Underlying our education promise to customers is the understanding that all hydration plans must be dominated by consumption of water. Water is a human right and our business supports access to free water supply. For convenience we also offer a bottled water product.

IAN RABBIDGE (NON-EXEC DIRECTOR)

Ian brings over 30 years of commercial experience to the business. During this time he has built brands in beverages, e-commerce, financial services, travel, mobile technology, FMCG and digital media. Prior to his senior leadership role with Red Bull, Ian brought the North American brands Gatorade, NAYA and Snapple to the UK.

 

“A number of energy drinks have crossed my desk over the years and nothing has particularly grabbed my attention, however Grilla is different. The team is committed to building a brand through strategic channels of business rather than just shifting cans, and the brand has an impact with a colour palette that sets it aside from the crowd.

Grilla has already secured a strong base which I am looking forward to building on, plus adding my ideas and working with the board to scope out the next steps to grow the business. With the compound growth rate predicted to be 4.3%, reaching USD $177..58B by 2032, there is still plenty of headroom for a new challenger with a strong positioning to enter the market”

GRILLA ISOTONIC

Our isotonic is developed to hold the same flavour that Grilla provides but in a slow muscle restorative powering form. Our isotonic is developed to support an active lifestyle and should be used for longer slower impact sessions.

 

Developed with industry experts the initial product will be our 500ml standard Isotonic drink with low cal and smaller varieties to come in the future. Our isotonic is already in high demand.

GRILLA PURE

At the core to any hydration business is our water products. With recommendations that we consume between 2.7 and 3.7 litres per day of water, it’s essential to balance any hydration plan with a healthy amount of water. Our product is sourced locally for each region to reduce the environmental impact of shipping water.

GRILLA ENERGY

A smooth organic energy drink with natural taurine in a sugar and zero variety, tailored for taste. The unit stands out on the shelf and we are at the start of our journey to secure a corner of the energy drink market with this direct competitor to Red Bull.

 

The drink is high-quality and provides the consumer with the best ingredients and compound on the market. The product will primarily be available through our subscription, director wholesale and direct to consumer markets.

VENDING

NETWORK

We are investing in a network of own-branded vending machines in key sports sites. Launched with support from experienced vending professionals our machines will predominantly offer our hydration products alongside other branded produce. As the operators of the machines we will take a percentage of all other product sales.

Our vending machines will predominantly located in sports clubs and gyms providing direct access to consumers to reach their hydration need immediately. We are also looking to provide direct payment services across our network and provide a subscriber pickup function on our vending machines allowing online buyers to collect their drinks post-workout. These innovations will modernise vending as a direct sell to consumers.

Our vending machines are designed to standout, with bold branding and a clear display showing the amount of GRILLA products on display, ready to be purchased by the consumer. We will focus on the other products within our machine being relevant healthier options for the consumer, but we will ensure that the products meet the requests and requirements of the sites we are placing our machines in.
